The collision occurred near the traffic lights at the junction of the B4215 in Highnam and the A40, leaving the southbound carriageway only partially clear. The incident was first reported to Inrix at 8:14 am, describing the B4215 southbound as partially blocked and traffic slowed due to the crash on the A40. By 10:27 am, the scene had been cleared and normal flow had resumed.
